About Us

Our Mission: To create a neighborhood gathering place that serves affordably priced
chef quality fresh food in a relaxed & friendly environment.

Our Values:

- To at all times treat our customers (both internal & external) with kindness, honesty,
& respect as if they were guests in our own home.

- To be an active partner within the neighborhoods that support us, through involvement in select charity,
civic, & educational events that enrich our community as a whole.

- To strive on a daily basis to be the best that we can be, by being passionate,
open-minded & pursuing opportunities for improvement.

- To support other small, independent local business owners like ourselves.

Quality standards:

Our food is hand-crafted with care from scratch using natural, fresh, and regionally sourced ingredients whenever possible. By keeping our menu simple, we are able to serve you quickly while maintaining freshness, always.

Green Statement:

Tinleaf makes a conscience choice to support local purveyors and businesses, use recycled products and design features, recycle its own waste, and use energy efficient appliances whenever possible to minimally impact the environment.

Food Philosophy:

Our food philosophy can be defined in 3 words: keep it simple. By taking fresh, minimally processed ingredients, and combining them in simple ways, we find that their natural freshness shines through creating bold and interesting flavors.

Human Resources:

Everyone deserves a second chance. At Tinleaf Fresh Kitchen, we have been fortunate enough to be able to work with some fine individuals who have come to us from local rehabilitation facilities. Through this endeavor, we have found that working with people who have come against great adversity in life has brought not only humility, but also a sense of humor and work ethic that they probably wouldn't have otherwise had. We'd like to thank The Goodwill for providing Community Employment Centers as a place for people to go to find out about jobs and to get help with resumes, job applications, interviewing skills, etc free of charge.

How We Came Up With The Idea:

With a passion for great food and as long time residents of San Diego, we found that the restaurant scene in North County was in need of an inexpensive, everyday, neighborhood place that served chef quality food in a comfortable and contemporary setting. By dining with us, you are supporting an independent, local business.
